QuickNote: Simple Notes is an offline-first notes workspace. Your drafts live on the device until you choose to export or back up. Organize with folders and tags, lock notes and folders with passcodes, set reminders, plan with Calendar and the Eisenhower Matrix, attach media, scan documents (OCR) and QR/barcodes, and pin sticky-note widgets to the home screen. Optional Premium removes ads, unlocks multiple local profiles, and adds Google Drive backup; Monthly Premium also raises AI usage limits. Nothing syncs to the cloud by default.

FAQ
Common questions before you install.
Is my data synced to the cloud by default?
No. Notes stay on-device in a local database. Cloud is optional: export or import manually, or use Premium Google Drive backup. Google sign-in is only for Drive storage — not for your QuickNote profile identity.
How do I create and organize notes?
Tap + to create a note. Group notes in Folders, add tags, and use search. You can set a default folder for new notes and customize folder covers and colors.
How do locks and hidden notes work?
Set an app lock PIN in Settings. Lock individual notes with a file passcode or folders with a folder PIN. Use a separate hidden code to show or hide hidden items — independent of app lock.
How do reminders and the calendar work?
Open a note and set a reminder (date/time, repeat, alert style). Use Calendar for events and agenda views; reminders can fire before events like other calendar apps.
What is the Eisenhower Matrix for?
Prioritize tasks into four quadrants (urgent / important). Add notes as tasks, drag between quadrants, and set due dates or optional assignee context.
How do I scan text or QR codes into a note?
Open Scan center for live QR/barcode or OCR from camera, photo, or PDF. Choose the OCR script (Latin, CJK, Devanagari, or Mixed) as needed. Free users may watch a short ad before OCR; Premium skips ads.
How do I back up or move my data?
In Settings, create an encrypted .nodepadx file for local transfer. Premium can upload or restore from Google Drive. Readable PDF/Markdown/HTML/TXT/JSON exports are for sharing or printing and cannot be imported back.
How do home screen widgets work?
Long-press the home screen → Widgets → QuickNote. Place Note, Folder, Agenda, Month, or Eisenhower widgets. Manage them under Settings → Home screen widgets.
